The book I am currently reading is called If I stay. The author is Gayle Forman. It's about this girl Mia, who is an excellent Cello player. Mia plans for a bright future filled with music. She has a boyfriend who's name is Adam. Mia has a kind of big family. She has a mom, a dad, and a brother. Mia and her family get in a terrible car accident. She wakes up and doesn't know what's going on. She sees the color of snow and blood. She sees herself lying there on the white soft snow. She worries about her family. Now the choice belongs to her. Her mom died on scene, and her dad in surgery. She chooses whether she lives or dies. Mia chooses either to wake up an orphan and be with her "love" (aka her boyfriend) or to die and leave her brother.
The genre of this book is fiction. It's fiction because no one chooses in this world whether they live or die. Living and death is not a matter of choice, but it is a matter of reality/life. It's just the way the world works. We just have to deal with it. I like that this book makes you think what you would've done if you were in this situation. Would you react the same? I don't like that it is an emotional roller coaster! It's happy yet heart-breaking. It's a really good book but, it makes me cry and feel happy and to me that's weird!! I have read this genre before. Oh my goodness, YES I would read this book a million times!!!!!
